Inspirations

These are some of the artists I am truly inspired by and want to learn by. Their techniques and mastery of their medium is breath taking and their work is absolutely gorgeous.

Sally Mann

Sally Mann is a photographer born and raised in Lexington, Virginia. In her work, Mann explores the fine line between photos of children and child pornography. To some, her work is pornographic and vulger, while to others it is a work of art. Mann mainly uses her own children to photograph. Mann's goals through her work are to capture images of children as they mimic and act out family and social roles and to convey primal and playful aspects of human behavior.

John Baldessari

Born and raised in California, John Baldessari is an American conceptual artist. He creates photographs that demonstrate the narrative potential of images and the power of language. One of Baldessari techniques is to blot out, with paint, main aspects of the photograph, forcing the viewer to wonder what is behind the painted circle. His work has been displayed in over 200 exhibitions across the world and is used for numerous advirtisments.

Andy Warhol
Less modern, but a classic, I am utterly fascinated with Andy Warhol. His work hangs in my room and study, every day inspiring me. Andy Warhol was one of the first major pop artists of his time and his work is now worth millions. Combining photography, paint, and pastels, Warhol creates masterpieces. His work is known around the world for being fun, inspiring, and beautiful. Warhol depicts through his work the excessive times through which he lived.
